Chefs on Call Take NC Blue Crabs To Nags Head

The legendary soft shell crabs are an Outer Banks staple from April to September when they’re in season. They’re soft shelled because they’re removed from the water as soon as they molt to prevent any hardening of their shell, which means they’re pretty much entirely edible. Chef Wes explained how to clean a soft shell crab in a previous video, so today we’re going to focus on cooking it.
