The 2012 Outer Banks Wedding Show, hosted at The Sanderling Resort & Spa in Duck, NC, took place Saturday, March 24th, 2012, from 11am to 4pm, and it was an amazing experience! We hope you were able to join us, because it we had a lot of fun and so did all the brides!
What a Turnout!
With over 500 people at the show, Chef Wes was kept busy! Along with numerous other Outer Banks wedding vendors, The Red Sky Cafe had a booth set up, and in typical Red Sky fashion, there was a long line of people trying to sample the wares. Chef Wes was presenting a few of his specialties, and they were quite a hit with the guests. There were plenty of people at the wedding show, and nearly all of them had to stop and try the food for themselves!
Southern Style Seminar
One of the highlights of Chef Wes’ day was getting to host a seminar for anyone interested in learning about the Southern style catering that is his specialty. Chef Wes isn’t afraid of being in front of people and as an experienced wedding caterer, his food is amazing. He showed nearly 50 people how he makes Shrimp’n Grits, one of his staples at nearly every wedding. It’s immensely popular and tastes even better.
