OBX Wedding Catering Like No Other

Recently, the Red Sky Cafe received a wonderful thank you from a beloved customer who recently held a wedding reception with our Outer Banks wedding catering staff on-hand. We enjoyed this warm appreciation (and some helpful tips for next time) so much that we couldn’t help but share.

“Wes and Jenn,

We can’t thank you enough for the wonderful food, and presentation, for Johanna and Sam’s wedding reception on the Outer Banks. All was so perfect and even better than we could have imagined.

Excellent Food

The guests all raved about the food, starting with the sushi bar and all the way through the choices at the stations. Wes, Johanna and Sam so appreciated you greeting them before you left that evening, and I so appreciate you even being there! The gazpacho with the shrimp was so unique and delicious. The hors d’oeuvres were perfect; varied, and each equally yummy. Jenn, your sangria was unbelievable, so appealing that I, the non-drinker, drank one! I just couldn’t resist!

We’ll Have To Double Up Next Time!

All the food during the main course was raved about by all. I feasted on that ahi tuna and seaweed salad, hands down my favorite. The late night snacks went in a flash, and were a perfect finale. Thank you! If I had any suggestions for you future events, there are two: I should have requested more stations (duplicate of the shrimp and grits), as that line was so long. I shouldn’t have had the dinner plates under the vintage plates for the gazpacho, as the stations were running out of plates and guests didn’t know to bring their dinner plate with them (my mistake.) Something to consider for your future events.

Thanks And See You Soon

We will be back on the Outer Banks in July, and will see you for dinner one evening. Hope there is seaweed salad on your restaurant menu (although I never can resist the fish tacos when I am there!)

Thank you to you both and your staff for making June 2 such a memorable evening for all,

See you soon!
